Rain, Rain, Rain - we have had so much rain here in Southern California, the road are full of water. Which is no fun for me because I travel everywhere to meet with my clients. Addison is doing rather well and not going too stir crazy. I took her outside last weekend before the rain hit so she could run around and get some fresh air.
Today I was able to catch up on the blog because I am home sick. Yep, got up at five got all ready and started feeling funny. Then just mins before I had to leave my stomach decided to... well you know. So I am home trying to rest. Which is what I need because I have been going a million miles a minute and am exhausted.
Addison is doing great and continues to think she is a dog. Let me recap what she does:
- Barks
- Pants
- Crawls around on all fours - doing the above two.
- Sticks out her tongue.
- Licks you (but this hasn't happened lately).
- Eats the dog food, Eats the dog food or human food off the floor with her mouth, and eats the dog food straight out of the dog bowls - he actually pushed Thunder away from his bowl so she could do this.
- Drinks water with her mouth out of the dog bowl.
- Licks water off the patio (hasn't happened lately also).
- When running away in the front yard and asked to come back she tells my mom and I "biscuit" because we were supposed to offer her a dog biscuit like we do with the dogs when they run off.
- She whines like the dog - bilingual, we actually know what she wants by the way her whine sounds.
- She responds to dog commands like "Come here Addison doggy" rather than human directives.
- Rolls around like the dogs.
- Closes herself in the crates, and one night told me that is where she needed to go to bed.
- Puts the leash around her and makes us walk her - no I am not kidding
- Plays fetch better than the dogs.
I know there is more - I don't think a human being can be anymore like a dog than she is..... I know there are diagnosis for gender identity disorder but human identity disorder???? - My mom says because I am a therapist I should be able to do something about it.... Yeah, I just am not that good.
Speaking of me being a clinician, I am only a few months away from having all 3000 hours to be able to apply to sit for my licensing exam. It is finally getting close. But I have lot of studying and preparing to do. The test is divided into two parts (having to be taken one month apart) and if you don't past the first one you have to wait 6 months until you can take it again..... So in the spare seconds of my day I will be studying and relearning everything from grad school - oh joy.
