We wanted to wait to announce it everyone once we saw the doctor for the first time. I am seven weeks pregnant! We saw that little blob on the ultra sound today - and since my scanner doesn't seem to want to be working I found a prego mommy to add for the pic. As some of you might have known we were planning on getting pregnant the end of 2008 and everything worked out - well not the job loss part, but that won't be a concern because Mike will get a job soon.
We are very excited. We found out one week before Christmas and told our parents right away and then we swore them to secrecy. On Christmas Eve/Day we had Addison open up a gift that had a pink "Big Sister" T-Shirt in order to share the news with the rest of the family.
I have been nauseated more this time around this early on. But, except for today which I have felt like crap the entire day, I just feel uneasy in the afternoon/evening times. Hopefully this pregnancy will go just as smooth as Addison's.
We are just hoping Addison will be happy at the arrival of a new baby because she gets jealous and isn't afraid of hitting (Yeah she will slap the dogs if they are pestering her too much or push the doggies out of the way if they are getting love from mom).
So the due date is: August 27 - just four days after my sister's birthday. Another August baby just like mommy. Now the question is: boy or girl???
If it's a girl Addison gets to switch to a new bigger room and we only need a two seater stroller. If it's a boy, the brother gets the bigger room, need a two seater stroller, and new clothes. Otherwise we have everything. I did not go girly on all the baby stuff - it's just that Addison has pink berry painted on the bottom half of her walls and there is no way that I am going to change that paint color anytime soon - yeah it took 5 coats when we painted her room when we moved in.
I am waiting for Christmas Pics from my mom, we used her fancy camera and just need to get the pics on a CD. Then I will share them. Happy 2009 To Everyone!

I am so Happy for you guys!! Congrats!!! The baby is due the day after my b-day ...so great time of year too. We can t wait to have another one too but maybe this summer since Bodie is still nursing. Ugg. Yay! Congrats again!

Congratulations Mel and Mike! I hope it's a boy so you can share one of each. haha I think the morning sickness will come to past. It is an unfortunate aspect of the pregnancy process. Hopefully Addison will be accepting of her new role as "big sister." It is never easy for children who may have gotten used to being the only child for the moment with lots of love and attention from mommy and daddy. Maybe help her adapt by talking slowly with her about new baby. Again congratulations!! I am an August baby too, 6th. ;)
