Addison Updates

Sorry it has been a while since we have posted an update. Being a full time working mother doesn't give me much time to do anything. But... Addison is teething. We can feel her first tooth under the gum. That is when she lets us put our finger in her mouth. She always sticks out her tongue and doesn't open her mouth.

That goes for when she is eating food too. She isn't a big fan of baby food because it takes too much work! But when the food actually gets into her mouth she does eat it. She would prefer the bottle to anything, but second favorite is rice cereal. She has tried a number of foods over the last month and a half...applesauce, peaches, sweet potatoes, carrots, and more that my mom bought and had her try. But there is one that she hates and refuses to open her mouth for: Peas!!! Which isn't too good for her since Mike and I like peas and eat them a lot.

She is no longer sleeping through the night either. Probably because she is teething. She wakes up between 2 and 3:30 every night wanting something to eat then she will go back to sleep. Of course this is making me so tired!!! Just as I thought I was going to survive, she starts getting up at night again. Babies will be babies. But it is so hard to get mad at her because when you go into her room, she has the biggest smile on her face. So cute!!

She will also be 7 months tomorrow. I can't believe it! It is amazing how time flies! She just went to the doctor weighing in at 15 lbs 8 oz (with a very wet diaper) and is 27 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for her weight and 75th for her height (if I remember correctly). My mom had the joy of taking her in this time because I had to work. 4 more shots!!! Ouch. I guess she cried pretty hard.

Well that's all for now. - Melissa

Wow! If you go to the store, there are "teething tablets" they are in a little white round container and are all natural tablets that dissolve in thier mouth. I used these with both my boys and know alot of people who have and they work really well! No side effects, etc.

You must be exhausted. That can be so hard emotionally. I will pray for you guys!

I tagged you in my blog :o)
